orange or red
Founder of orange or red Marieke van Heck, noted that spaces are increasingly used for different purposes, which makes it all the more important that they can be flexibly arranged. Orange or red collaborated with the Textielmuseum to develop Dashes, a more than four-meter long rug. Dashes can be used as a tapestry as well as a connector between the various surfaces in a room (wall, floor, furniture and ceiling). Various weaving techniques are used to create this object, combining industrial and artisanal methods. As a result, a dialogue takes place between the surfaces, both in the textile itself and in its application in a room.
For the orange or red collection, designer Marieke van Heck combines traditional techniques with contemporary design. In this process, graphic, textile and product design merge into one another, creating a surprising and original image.
