Samira Charroud

Yemma (‘Mother’) is a tribute to the colourful Berber culture. During her graduation, Samira explored her cultural identity and North African roots. She was inspired by the unique position of the Berber women and their role as storytellers, mothers, weavers and preservers of time and culture. This resulted in a collection of woven illustrations that capture and perpetuate the Berber identity, using her own way of telling stories through illustration and design.
